IIT - JEE :
  The Indian Institutes of Technology are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament. These institutes play a leading role in technological manpower development and have research programmes comparable to the best in the world. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programmes at these institutions for all Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (IIT JEE).

Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, is one of the oldest institutions devoted to education in various engineering disciplines. Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad, is the oldest institution of its kind in India. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programmes at these institutions are also made through IIT JEE.

All these institutions are known for providing quality education in science and technology and for research in frontier areas. The environment at these institutions is highly conducive for building a solid foundation of knowledge, development of personality, confidence building, self-discipline, pursuit of excellence and enhancement of creativity, motivation and drive.
AIIMS :
  All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was established in 1956 as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India.

Eligibility -

Students passed Higher Secondary Examination under 10+2+3 pattern with an aggraegate of 60% marks can apply. Proficiency of English and Computers are necessary. AIIMS admits 50 students for the MBBS programme each year, out of which only 34 are available in the general category which will be filled through Entrance Examination. Nearly one lakh students were seeking admission to MBBS in AIIMS which attests its popularity. The Competitive Entrance Examination will be of three and half an hour duration. The Test paper contains 200 Objective type Questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge.
AIPMT :
  All India Pre Medical Entrance Test is also commonly known as AIPMT.The AIPMT is a national level UG medical entrance exam which is officially conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. AIPMT is conducted for the students who want to take admission into MBBS and BDS in various medical colleges across the country. 15% of total seats in medical and dental colleges in India, except in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir are reserved for the students who pass AIPMT Entrance Exam. Approx. 2200 MBBS and 200 BDS seats are made available through this exam.

Eligibility -

The candidate should have scored minimum 50% of marks in following subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English. Or their equivalency determined as per regulations of Medical Council of India and the concerned university.

The candidate must have completed 17 years and should not exceed 25 years as on December 31 of the year of admission. The age limit for SC, ST and OBC shall be relaxed to 5years.

Candidates, who have appeared for the intermediate examination and are awaiting for their results are eligible to apply for this entrance exam.
WBJEE :
  The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) is conducted each year for admission to various courses in the field of Engineering /Architecture/ Technology / Medical / Dental / Veterinary and Pharmacy. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is conducted by the board of examination of West Bengal and provides admission to various universities and institutions in West Bengal.

Aspirants of engineering will write WEBJEE 2015 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, where as aspirants of Medical will write it with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. As per the WEBJEE 2015 notification, syllabus of WBJEEM 2015 has been changed.
KVPY :
  KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) is a national Program (Yojana) to encourage (Protsahan) Young (Kishore) students to undertake Scientific (Vaigyanik) research. In most simplified terms, KVPY is a catch –them-young program launched by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, to attract motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and career in research.

While DST, Govt of India funds the program, it is administered by Indian Institute of Science. KVPY was first launched in 1999.

KVPY is a national level scholarship for three levels:
  • For Class XI students: Stream SA.

  • For Class XII students: Stream SX.

  • For 1st year Students of B. Sc. / B.S. / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S: Stream SB.

  • There was another stream called “Stream SP” (Basic Sciences including Engineering/Medicine) in previous KVPY exams, but same has been withdrawn from 2012 KVPY Fellowship award.
NDA :
  Union Public Service Commission – UPSC conducts NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam twice in a year for admission into Indian Navy, Army & Air Force Wings. Candidates who pass 12th class in 10+2 pattern are eligible to apply for NDA Exam.
Olympiad :
  It is the best platform for young talents to test their skills. As the standard of an olympiad is very high, the rewards also weigh fairly. The goodies that the students get ranges from pcs , mobile, laptops ,cash prizes along with fellowship access to a good university.
